[o hi Miel, there's a bunch of texts coming your way. Mostly videos. All of really cute and familiar looking little cats.]

[But there is a short actual text that follows.]

Hey kid. I ordered dinner. You got 20 minutes to get back, or your portion is going to the Meowths.

[Awwww, look at them. Her eyes crinkle as she scrolls through all of them. Her brother was more so the animal person than her, but both Khas enjoyed them, particularly the fluffy variety. She's reacting to each with smiles and hearts and asking after them.

At the mention of food, however, her tail perks right up.]

I'll be right there!

They're really eyeballing that katsu, better hurry.

[Surely he's not THAT awful he'd actually feed it to the cats, right? Right???]

[Nooo!!! She'll be there, she'll be there!!]

Almost.

[That's all she's able to type as she's quickly making her way back home. Darnit why'd she go out for a walk so close to dinner time??

With startling speed given how far she'd been away Miel makes her away back to their shared quarters and throws the door open.]

Meowths please don't eat my food! I'll get you a toy!

[AND SHE MAKES IT.]

[Clearly with plenty of time to spare, too, because Nanu is only just starting to unpack the delivery bags. And while one of the Meowths is sitting on the counter with his eyes intently on the food, the other two immediately swarm Miel, trilling and purring and welcoming her home.]

That might be a new record, honestly.

Rice or noodles?

[Despite the speedy run she doesn't seem too worked up though her hair is definitely tousled. She smiles when the Meowths approach her and she goes down to her knees so she can pet the both of them. It's very sweet to be greeted thusly and reminds her of her own pet chocobos back home.

She looks up from greeting them and her smile widens at seeing Nanu.]

Noodles would be great! Thank you.

[Thew meowths may or may not be acting like they're starving, but really, they act like that every time one of them comes back home. And Nanu watches from over in the kitchen, a small smile on his face as he takes in the scene.]

[He just as quickly shakes his head, and starts to hand over assorted cartons of food, starting with the requested noodles.]

Is it still looking like crap out there? Saw those weird portals popping up everywhere...

[And grown woman or no, he can't help being at least a little concerned about her...]

Still bad. It's hard to say whether they are lessening or not but at least a lot of civilians have been helped out of them.

[She takes the cartons, mindful not to open them just yet and sets them about the table--she had just come from outside and had pet the cats--meowths after all.]
